Hmm.....

Black Wolf - *Growls and smacks head* Good afternoon people of earth! Today after....*shivers* math.... It turned good day into bad day. You wanna hear my opinion on math? And this is just my opinion, don't get mad at me for it, but...... I think we should have a choice in whether we wanna do math or not. Cuz you know some jobs do not require you to have math actually. If you really wanna know that stuff or it does pertain to your future career then go right ahead and take it. I mean.... Sure lets us take it for the first few years of school but not all the way up to senior year. That's just not what some kids wanna do. But hey. That's just my opinion. *slaps face* Sorry just al ittle crazy right now. Sleep deprived and very hyper. I saw Alice in Wonderland Saturday and Sunday. Man I must say that movie is GOOD! I feel like myself is the mad hatter, and Jabberwocky over there is the mad hare. Haha Jabberwocky how do you feel!? *Devilish Grin*

Red Jabberwocky - A) YOU'RE LATE FER TEA!!!! B) Haven't seen Alice in Wonderland yet

Black Wolf - Oh shush you big lizard! Hahaha!! I'm not all scaley or however that word is spelt. *Perks up* Tea!? Pass the sugar mad hare! And a SCONE!

Red Jabberwocky - I'm really craving tea now

Black Wolf - Never had it so I wouldn't know. Anywho...... Sorry for that random moment there. Very hyper like I said. Today in English I bout fell asleep. (No offense to you Smithy. You are a great teacher, just the leason....) Do we really gotta do research papers?? O well... My thoughts won't get anywhere. I'm not the loud mouth in that class... Jabberwocky.... Lol. Umm... Well.... I don't know what else to write bout right now. I'm half asleep, but I had that piece for the blog wrote out during class today.

Birth of This Here Blog

Red Jabberwocky: K so…I totally fail at English. Fyi. *ahem* anywho….
Story hmmm….
So once upon a time there was this fantastic English teacher that let me change books in the middle of the term because I couldn’t get a copy of a stupid book that stupid AP Language kids were reading.
You know I think it’s ridiculous that the kids in a class that are considered more intelligent then us get first pick of the books we can read. This has happened all the time in my high school career. My sister gets to read books that are intelligent and actually worth picking up and looking at while I get stuck with the same books I read in kindergarten because I don’t have a B+ average in my English classes. How is it that I get stuck reading “Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry” for the fifth time while she reads Frankenstein? Where’s the justice in this system? Granted, every system has its imperfections, but this is a glaring indecency forced on those of use who are forced to suffer in low intelligence settings. Am I not just as good as those kids in the AP classes? Where are my rights? Why should I have to suffer because the rest of America’s teens choose to forsake their education for instantaneous pleasures and cheap thrills? This is an insult to my rights and, as such, an insult to me as a person. I’m getting things second place because those with supposedly higher test scores are standing on top of the world, getting the best education, and reaping the benefits of a community that’s incredibly prejudice to begin with. These classes are sucking away this community’s tax money for their own personal use and leaving the regular English classes with nothing but the left overs. I demand this injustice be corrected at once.
Rant done.
So here’s my question: Do I just pull the quick and easy notes off the internet, or do I try to get my hands on a book? My sister is entirely out of the question because of me losing the book for a day. Besides, I’ve got to read the entire thing now. I’ve got no where to go, and no one to blame…..but my sister.
THAT’S RIGHT. IT’S ALL YOUR FAULT. EAT MY DIABETIC FINGERS YOU LITTLE MANEATER.
I lost my car because my dad was screaming at me how messy it was so I don’t get it back til he gets home from conneticut. So in the meantime, I’m stuck here because no one works from 3-5 anymore and I have to be back at the school by 5:30 or Dunn has my kidneys for breakfast. Which I heard was not at all pleasant…
Black Wolf: O wow Jabber. You and your analogies. And how could you let your car get that dirty? I mean it’s not that hard to keep it clean ya know? Wait scratch that…I dirty Kayden’s car all the time…
Red Jabberwocky: ………………………And that’s what she said. I’ve been living out of my car this month because I have rehearsal and work. I haven’t been home like all month! It’s been crazy!
Black Wolf: Ohh… Kinky :) haha. But anywho… You should be around your house more often. Unless you think it’s like hell just like I hate wats, and then it’s all good if you live in your car. But at least try and keep it clean. Attempt it. It shouldn’t be that difficult ya know???
Red Jabberwocky: You are no longer allowed to comment on my wannabe blogs.
Black Wolf: O whatever Jabber. You love me to much to actually go through with that.
Red Jabberwocky: True…I am, however totally starting a blog.
Black Wolf: Can I be part of it to!?!? Pwease????
Red Jabberwocky: You can comment if you want to, or add to it on B Days. I’m only going to be able to add to it every other day because I have two computer classes on A Day.
Black Wolf: So…. Wait… Where are you going to put this blog at exactly?
Red Jabberwocky: Google has a blog option.
Black Wolf: Serious? And you want to do that on Google? I mean.. Everone can see that. Not just certain people.
Red Jabberwocky: Don’t care. And No. I’m totally joking. I never meant a word I said. In fact, I’m a chronic liar. Every word that comes out of my mouth is a lie. I never loved you. I always thought your dog resembled a walrus. And I never liked your spinach puffs. EVER!
Black Wolf: Oh that’s it *cocking of gun* She’s going down
Red Jabberwocky: …..this is totally gonna be the first post…
Black Wolf: HAHAHAHAHAHA That would be freaking amazing!!!
Red Jabberwocky: What should we call it? Nothing too emo. :p (Ex: Cutter kids cutting kids)
Black Wolf: How bout the Answering Machine????
Red Jabberwocky: I kinda love the idea but at the same time…. I want Smithey to be able to read this without doing the anti-evil sign every time I come in the room with you.
Black Wolf: Ok fine… Hmm… Monkey on a Rampage?
Red Jabberwocky: VEEEEEERRRRYYYY funny.
Black Wolf: And our monkey could be called Norman.
Red Jabberwocky: NO.
Black Wolf: …………..What about Zebra spots?
Red Jabberwocky: Now THAT sounds like we’re on LSD. No. How about….what’s your favorite color?
Black Wolf: Black or pink why?
Red Jabberwocky: Pick one.
Black Wolf: Black
Red Jabberwocky: Favorite animal?
Black Wolf: Wolf

RJ-What should a good education include?

The subject came up in my English class the other day and I was (cough) forced (cough) to write a half page about it. Here it is. With, of course, some slight altercations.

People should read the classics more often. I mean, seriously. My friends don’t even know who Jane Austen is and the one that did told me I was weird. This friend also thinks she’s a witch. You tell me who’s saner.

In any case, it doesn’t matter if a “good education” is available, who’d take advantage of it? Our society is built on the belief that anything worth having must come quickly. We are the Instant Gratification Generation. Why do you think trade schools exist? Easy education and ready made job. I’m not saying these are a bad thing. I entered one and now have a CNA and am lining myself up for a job that pays more then your average burger flipping happy meal paycheck.

At any rate, I believe a sound foundation in good literature (the classics, etc.) should be required. I mean, dear lord, I’ll settle for Dan Brown and Michael Crighton as long as it’s SOMETHING besides Mistborn and Twilight! I have no doubt that Brandon Sanderson has a definite skill with words, but what does it teach? Where’s the questions of what is ethical and the characters’ growth? There’s more to a book then the story. What about it challenges the reader to think? That’s why I’ve never been able to get through any of the Wheel of Time series. All there is to these books is the story! You have to put in your own guesses as to how the character has changed. You ASSUME the man is different because his wife died. What have we to show for it? He stops eating? He never smiles? These are all physical. What is he going through emotionally? Are we ever truly going to know? Too often these stories are repetitive as well. It teaches the reader NOTHING. The characters don’t grow. There is no point to the book.

This was followed up with a sarcastic comment by myself and my teacher’s advice to “Blog this”. Which I did, sadly enough. No I would not jump off the roof if my teacher asked me to. But I would seriously consider it. However, with this whole non-fiction section in our (oh what’s the word…) syllabus, I’m beginning to think I’d rather push Mr. Al Capote off the roof. (Curse you In Cold Blood!) I just found out the other day that I could’ve listened to the entire book and not have to deal with the whole “can I borrow your book?” “Oh I left it at my house accidentally.” “What do you mean there’s no more copies available in the school library?!” Absolutely ridiculous. Well, today was our last “literature circle” and it shouldn’t be long before the end of the term. I’m mentally trying to drown that from my mind with songs and stories and absolutely meaningless chatter. (“Oh there’s a dance coming up? Oh you’re going? That’s fantastic! I wish I could get asked! Aw you’ll be so pretty!”) As you can tell, inane chatter puts me in a fine mood and I end up being more irritated then before.

Speaking of which, I picked up my new story again today and started writing. Maybe this will go farther. I need to be someone that’s very life depends on their ability to be cold and emotionless (My main character, Darcy. It’s a girl. Not a boy. As much as I love Pride and Prejudice.).

I’ll see if I can post our original blog thingy soon. It’s on a different computer so we’ll see how that goes.
